San Diego, CA

Bureau of Security & Investigative Services, Proprietary Private Security Officer (PPSO) Licensing - (Non Guard Card)

Description

Gaslamp Marriot

660 K Street, San Diego, CA

This course will be taught from 8AM to 5PM, Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, 2011.

The nightclub security industry is rapidly changing across the country. States and municipalities are seeking other, non policing, solutions to the increasing violence associated bars, clubs and other liquor licensed venues. One proven solution is the requirement of job specific training for the In House Security Guard.

The State of California did just that. As of January 1, 2011, all In House Guards or “Bouncers” must complete 16 hours of job specific training as part of their licensing process. Our company has the first approved training course available for the State of California.

Our approved training program is modeled from our long running certification program, HOST Training. This program was 12 hours long and has been taught to over 5000 hospitality employees nationwide. The new licensing curriculum is exactly the same with only two additions. The first addition is a training section on Powers to Arrest and Citizen’s Detention. The second addition covers a rising concern around the globe, Terrorism Awareness in the Hospitality Industry. The state course requires 16 hours total and with our quizzes, downloadable reading material, photos, videos and final test, we meet that requirement with ease.

One final thought. If you are from a state other than California, this program can absolutely benefit you and your staff. This is a very comprehensive and thoughtful training course that can truly reduce violence, reduce insurance claims, reduce police visits and reduce fees paid to attorney’s.

This course will be taught from 8AM to 5PM, Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, 2011.
